Josh and Ruthie Wagner
Lutheran Bible Translators, Sierra Leone, Africa
Josh grew up as the oldest of six children in the Minneapolis area, where he and his family were heavily involved with inner-city ministry. As he grew up, he sensed a call toward cross cultural ministry, particularly overseas. He received a B.A. in Business Management from Bethel University, St. Paul, Minn. Among other jobs, Josh especially enjoyed working in human resources for several years. Josh values communication and has a heart for teaching and facilitating.
Ruthie is a third-generation missionary, having grown up in Bangladesh. She moved to Minneapolis for Bible school, where God called her to love people by giving them His Word in the languages they know best like He had done for her. She received a B.A. in Linguistics, Ancient Language and Historical Texts from Northwestern College, St. Paul, and a M.A. in Linguistics and Bible Translation from the Graduate Institute of Linguistics in Texas.
Josh and Ruthie met at a Bible translation meeting and married in 2009. They share a common heart and love for people and for seeing God worshiped among the nations. They have been working with the Themne people in Sierra Leone since Fall 2013 as missionaries for Lutheran Bible Translators. They have four children: Elijah, Isaiah, Josiah and Elizabeth.

Chris and Michele Hickey
Youth With A Mission, Madison, Wisconsin
Chris, who grew up at Berea, and Michele are on staff at the Madison YWAM campus, where he teaches in various YWAM "schools", works with U of W students, and reaches out to the homeless, and where she oversees the Discipleship Training School program. Their work takes them to many far-flung corners of the world.
