Reverend Randolph Sherren, Pastor
Pastor Sherren became our pastor in 1987, though he was involved as a Bible Study teacher for several years before that time. In his years in the ministry, he has served as a youth pastor in Bloomington, MN; in a rural parish in Medford, MN; as a teacher and chaplain at Minneapolis Lutheran High School; and as an Assistant Professor of New Testament History and Greek at Concordia University in St. Paul, MN.
Two career highlights are that he had the opportunity to study one of his favorite authors C.S. Lewis in Oxford, England and that he led a trip to the Holy Land.
Pastor has been married to his high school sweetheart Judy for more than 40 years. They have three daughters, though the youngest passed away in 2006, and five grandchildren. Pastor and Judy are outdoor people who enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, gardening and playing golf together.
Reverend Roger Klemz, Assistant Pastor
Pastor Klemz has been with Berea since 2002 and is grateful for the opportunity to continue to share God’s Word and grow in understanding.
Pastor Klemz and his wife Helen have been blessed with five children and four grandchildren. He is an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and his hobbies include cooking, baking bread (by hand – no machine!), reading and refinishing old furniture.
Laurel Webber, Director of Parish Ministries
Laurel has been the Director of Parish Ministries for 7+ years and has been a lifelong member of the congregation. She joined the church in 1961 with her parents, Bill and Louise Lehnherr who are still members today. After college, Laurel left for a brief time when she served three other congregations and rejoined in 1991.
Laurel and her husband Dan have three daughters: Brianna currently attending Bemidji State; and Brittany and Brooke who attend Lion’s Gate Christian Academy. Laurel’s interests and hobbies include cross-stitching and photography.
Anita Feller, Parish Administrator
Berea’s Parish Administrator is Anita Feller who has been a member here for 22 years! She and her husband Bruce have two children: Brent and Travis, and two grandchildren: Evan and Isaac.
Anita likes to spend her free time reading, knitting, gardening, traveling and babysitting her grandsons.
Sharon Kimmel, Director of Human Care
Sharon is the Director of Human Care at Berea and has been a member for over 31 years! She and her husband Tom have been blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoys knitting, sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren: Jacob, Julia and Bella.
Susan Harrison, Director of Music
Susan Harrison has been with Berea for 20+ years. When Susan joined Berea, she had no intentions of “directing” music; she wanted to participate not lead but, as she has said; “...God had a different plan for me.” And so it came to be that she took the position as Berea’s Music Director and feels very fortunate to serve with the wonderful people here.
Susan and her husband Colin have three children and five grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys music, reading and the MN Vikings… she is a HUGE fan!
Kerry Murphy, Music Assistant
Kerry has been the Music Assistant at Berea since 2001 and attending church here since that time. In addition to her work with Berea, she also teaches piano lessons.
Kerry and her husband Mike have two children: Madison and Jake. Her interests include spending time with her family at home, reading, photography and scrapbooking – she loves to make cards! Kerry is also learning to knit and enjoys having a variety of things to do when relaxing.
